How do you conclude there are people who fake being borderline for attention? LIKE REALLY. “I’m always feeling lonely and like nobody cares about me so to get attention I’ll fake having a condition where you always feel lonely and like nobody cares about you and do dramatic things to get attention!”
It’s not that you couldn’t fake it, but “You’re faking it for attention!” is especially a silly way to dismiss it if THAT’S WHAT ITS SYMPTOMS ARE LIKE. It’s like dismissing someone’s queerness with “Oh no you just want to fuck people of the same sex.” (This is not the only variety of queerness, note :P)
